How does a church get started with radios?

Great question, glad you asked. One of the first things a church or private school needs is frequencies. There are several routes to take and we'll help you along the path of whatever you want to do, however, our recommendation is that you get an exclusive set of frequencies that are licensed to your organization by the FCC. There is a cost associated with this, but the benefits are that the frequencies are yours and you can run "real" commercial quality digital radios on these channels. They are private in the sense that they are not shared with hobbyists or eavesdroppers. You can even get licenses that allow you to run repeaters in order to greatly expand the coverage at your campus.        .

First Step:

Don't panic (seriously):  We will help you complete the nessesary applications and act as the technical advisor of record with the FCC corrdinator.  So, the first step is to contact us.  We will get some basic ideas of your goals and know what direction to take in building your system plan.

We use a local FCC coordinator for licensing.  They file all of the paperwork with the FCC and will bill you directly, so you get the best deal possible.  They even have discounts if you are a non-profit organization and can profice them with your 501c3 paperwork.

Second Step:

We wait. Getting the licenses can take 2-3 months. In the meantime, we plan out what needs to be purchased. We will either buy it for you and sell it to you at no-markup or direct you where to buy it for the best possible price, even if that means getting used equipment. Every organization is different and we're completely sensitive to budgets.

Last Step :

Once we get all of the licenses approved and we get the equipment in hand, we program it all for you and customize it to your channel list and use cases.  You take receipt of the equipment or however we arrange the assistance, and you go off and have some fun using it.

Piece of cake, right? Well, for us it is. We've been working in the two-way radio business for over 30 years and this is just what we know. That's why we help churches and Christian schools, so you don't have to sweat the complicated stuff.
